Run Dungog is a community running weekend, which caters for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. Proceeds from the event are being raised to implement mental health programming in the Dungog Shire.

Kids Run Free


50km Trail
Saturday 3rd August - 8:30am

A stunning 50km course through private farm land and bush trails - only possible to run during Run Dungog. Starting in the Dungog Common and climbing to Mt Richardson before returning to Dungog.

25km Trail - Mt Richardson
Saturday 3rd August - 8:30am

This is an up and back course from the Dungog Common to the summit of Mt Richardson - the course is on private farm and bush trails and is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Dungog Shire.

Dungog Common 5km, 10km & 20km
Sunday 4th August - 9am

On Sunday 4th August we host three trail running events on the trails within the Dungog Common. A 5km, 10km and 20km event. This is a fantastic trail running experience for the whole family. Kids under 12 run free.



Run Dungog is a non-profit community event raising funds for the Dungog Shire Community Centre to implement youth mental health programming in the Dungog Shire.

Dungog is in the Hunter Region of NSW and is renowned for its forests, mountains and picturesque river village.

What about the kids?

If you would like to run the Saturday events but are not sure what to do with the kids then sign the kids up for the Wangat Lodge outdoor adventure day. The kids will explore the beautiful rainforest, rivers and creeks of Wangat and learn about the natural environment and bush crafts. Kids will be collected from the race start at 8:15am and returned to Dungog by 4pm.

Sunday events will be hosted at the Dungog Common and all kids under 12 run free, so enjoy a family running day - sign up for the 5km with the kids and enjoy the stunning trails of Dungog.
